Animals
There are many different species of animals in our park. From birds to urchins, to whales to sea lions, our park is their home. Here are a few of the species of animals that you may see on your visit. Our park holds a very wide variety of animals. There are many different types of habits here for the animals. The mountains for the animals adapted to the harsher weather, the forest for the land animals that use the trees shelter, or the water where river, lake, ocean animals dwell.
Vegetation
Our park is on the coast so it contains parts of the coastal mountain ranges, the vegetation ranges. We are located in the West Coast Forest vegetation region next to the cordilleran vegetation. There are Krummholz trees (trees that grow sideways instead of upwards) up in the mountains and coral at the coast. Hiking or biking your way through our park on the trails can show you many, many types of flowers and trees. Stop by the welcome center to pick up a pamphlet of our plants and see if you can spot them on your adventure here! There are plants here that are very edible, and don't have any poisonous counterparts.
