Threats to Ecological Integrity
Park Upkeep: Water and waste management, vegetation management (making sure all vegetation is healthy and nothing is dangerous, ex.tall trees that could fall), and flood and fire protection. All these things must be up to date to make sure the park runs smoothly but it puts stress on the ecosystems and animals living in the park
Invasive Species: Non-native species are being entered into our park but accident crossing the border when importing goods from across the country. They then have no predators in Canada so no one hunts them and they grow in number. They then compete with the native species and take over. They can also bring diseases that can kill off a other species.
Construction: Highway and construction that happens near by creates a lot of air pollution. Also this and introduce to non-native fish in our lakes and rivers causes problems in our water flow. It has also caused the number of our native fish to decline. Road constructions in our park can also block animal movement.
Forest Fires: forest fires happen every once in a while. Every time a fire happens lots of species get killed and wildlife is destroyed. Forest Fires also start the process of second secession so the forest slowly keeps re-building itself which also means the forest is becoming older.
Large Carnivores: Large carnivores need a lot space to roam around and are one of the park's main attraction to visitors. Because of this animals sometimes venture into areas that are outside the park's borders and aren't environmentally protected. This causes a lot of animals to be hunted or killed by human activity.

How to Address Threats
- Limit the amount of visitors into the park to help prevent an overload of human and animal contact
- Waste and garbage management
- Putting up signs to show which roads are open to cars so they don't destroyed wildlife
- Improve sewage waste and water treatment
- Educate people on the harm of invasive species to the park and enforce rules about using the parks own wood
- Have "fire monitors" which are a group of people that go around the park to make sure everyone put there fire's out
